No, dude negative space can be the BEST. Maybe a shallower DOF would have worked to like…blur out the tile more? I dunno if that would have worked with the angle we were shooting though

YEAH I KNOW i like playing with negative space i just don’t like how i framed this one personally

but then the small window made framing difficult buT I REALLY WANTED THAT SHOT

CONFESSION i rarely change my aperture when shooting! i know i should but it’s just one more factor to keep track of and if i let myself get confused, photos get ruined a lot more often. it may have helped blur out the tile but alas, who knows

When I had access to a fancy camera all I played with was the aperture, and then changed the shutter to work with it.

But then again my favourite styles are like macro and suuuuuuper shallow dof
